Author Topic: I think I need a new power supply.  (Read 1556 times)

I had an issue similar to this a while ago, it seemed to stop after cleaning the inside very heavily as it was dusty af, If you haven't checked your PC for dust that is the first thing I would do.

"lelelele windowns joke hwre!"
No but reinstall windows because if it isn't your PSU then it sounds like a software issue since Windows can do that stuff

Within seconds.
K it's not an OS issue then if it's turning off before the OS even boots

I don't know this stuff only happens 1 out of 100 times so it doesn't happen often enough for me to actually get results.

All I know is very rarely when it's in hibernation and I start it up it goes in a reboot loop and I'm afraid it would break my machine. Maybe a wire is loose.

maybe it's a fault with your motherboard? if it happens super duper rarely maybe the power regulator on your mobo is starting to fail. If it can't correctly regulate power it would make a restart loop since it wouldn't be able to deliver power

just my thought though

I only get the issue like once every 4 months or more.

At least yours did not blow up, like mine.

So what other issues could it be, this doesn't happen too often so.

Maybe a loose connector? Can you try to reproduce the problem while moving your case?

actually cross that out and replug the PSU; make sure each connector is firmly in place

If it happens before the OS starts, it has to be some peripheral failing the POST.

My computer did it again. Rebooted twice in a row by itself.

Should I just remove the option for it to hibernate?

Do you think GWX is loving stuff up? I use it to prevent windows 10 updates.
