Author Topic: Non-Disappearing Lights  (Read 1822 times)

Hey, I noticed in BL when there is a light in front of you that light takes priority and those behind it are no longer visible. This really looks weird where when you are moving around 50 lights change on off on off. So what I am trying (or want) to do is to change the lights in BL so that they do not disappear when viewed from different angles or when behind another light.

Is this possible?

Thanks

It does that to decrease lag. Amirong?

Edit: It would be just as much lag turned sideways nvmd

So, is there a way to disable them or make them less sensitive so that they don't disappear? I really need this for a project I'm working on.

Thanks

It depends on the max lights in the Graphics tab of options I think. And it renders the ones that are most on the screen. There isn't any scripting method of overriding that setting to my knowledge.

I have my max lights set very high up, I noticed when the radius is set very high it will not do it as much. Am I on to something with this? The problem I am having is that I am experiencing extreme lag with wrench events and the more the lights, the more the lag (since I use events). They all basically need switches. If there's an alternate way (besides v9) to turn lights on and off with a click trigger, that would help me out a lot.

Thanks

Lights themselves lag a fair bit and animated a fair bit more.
