i need help with port fowarding

ok so i was following the origbrown town guide for port fowardfing but  the guide is a bit old and on my computer i cant find the  netowrk and dail up  i have network and internet but not  network in dail up so what  should i do ?  also i cant find this dns  thing> Find the numbers next to "DNS:"
Write them down. You will need them later. by the way i dont know if this matter but my router is netgear

That sounds like a problem.
I wouldn't even bother with hosting.

I don't think you CAN port forward with dial up.
If there's more than one computer in your house, you'll have to host off of the one that the phone line plugs directly into. That's what I had to do several years ago.
