Author Topic: I just watched inception and I have a major question. [Spoiler]  (Read 1002 times)

So.. the forgetin thing was spinning at the end..

Was the entire movie in a dream?

it's intentionally ambiguous. the top looks like it wobbles a little bit because christopher nolan is a cheeky forgeter

imo they left it spinning for way too long and it kinda ruined the ambiguity

my favorite interpretation of the ending is that it didn't matter to cobb whether or not it was a dream, he just wanted time with his damn kids, which is why he said forget it and left the top.

there's also one where cobb's real totem is his ring or something but I wanna believe in self-satisfied endings

It was a forget you message

Honestly the ending to inception is one of the greatest movie endings ever

Exactly, that was the whole reason he went through any of the ordeals he did. Whether it's his "real" family or not, he doesn't care anymore. He's finally home.

i think the point was not if it stopped spinning, but that he finally got what he wanted, so it didnt matter

damn is it 2012 again

wait..

lol forget inception go watch blade runner or space odyssey

jk it's a good movie, but seriously go watch blade runner or space odyssey

wtf dude put a warning i didnt see the movie yet you ruined the ending for me
