cheap =/= bad and expensive =/= good. im looking for something quality that isn't extremely expensive. not a top notch headset

Corsair 2100

Served me two whole years and only now am I finding minor problems with it.

Ive had the brother version of that headset and its definitly good for the price. Better build, sound, and voice quality than equally priced turtle beaches.

This just means it has separate plugs for both audio and voice, and comes with a converter so you can use both sound and voice on phones and ps4.

I will tell you though that going headphone+desk mic combo is a fair bit nicer, as it gets you away from the "For gamers, so cool" products and starts to focus more on quality rather than aesthetics, though I don't have much experience with the $50 range headphones, as i got my headphones from my friend and they certainly arent around $50

I had the v2 headset when it first came out and it just recently broke (a few days ago), it is pretty decent quality for the price but there are most definitely better options out there.

This is what i am talking about

Get a HyperX Cloud 1/2 or Stinger. Great sounding headsets, and more OK mic quality. People also say they hold up well through time so there's that.

If you want a really decent mic and sound quality in the headphones,  go with the Etekcity H5GX Over-ear headphones. I listened to some mic tests and it was a really good mic, same for the headphone's sound itself, really good
