can I just say that

Pendleton Ward's cartoons have the most annoying loving love plots ever. Take a look at Adventure Time and how many relationships Finn's gone through, and now it looks like they're trying to make a loving love triangle between Chris, Danny, and Beth for no discernable reason. Don't they realize that no one likes love triangles?

On top of that, you have the emotion lord thing where Chris literally creates himself another path in the timeline in which he and Beth, who, mind you have been best friends since childhood and who the show has been telegraphing since season one as "THESE TWO PEOPLE LIKE EACH OTHER A LOT BUT WON'T COME OUT AND SAY IT THEY ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER DON'T MISCONSTRUE THIS", can be together, but now it looks like Chris doesn't even care about Beth being with Danny. So what was the loving point of creating a new path if you're not going to do the thing that you were making the path for? Is it an attempt to make Chris look extraordinarily powerful? Because it makes him look as though he, as an emotion lord, is not in any sort of loving control of his emotions.

And keep in mind what happens if he doesn't get Beth in the end. Has he just forgotten the future versions of himself, and how they went insane because they didn't get Beth? You're telling me he's willing to risk losing any inkling of sanity he has just to do something for Danny that Danny himself could EASILY do? THE GUY HAS INVENTED A TIME MACHINE TWICE. Jesus loving christ, these love arcs are a crock of loving horsestuff.

Youtube ad revenue is based on watch time. Given the length of the episodes and how long it took to make them, the project ended up not being sustainable. However, not sure if you know this, but as a compromise, they're putting out episodes one month after they go up behind the paywall.
