personally i never capitalize on the forum, since it's 99% of the time casual---even in arguments
on the other hand, i think it looks pretty forgetin stupid if you don't capitalize after a period, though, so i mostly just make a new line rather than using end punctuation
i can easily pick out five or so choices of people from a few sentences, although avatars are usually what i associate with names (apart from a few exceptions who post their irl pictures a lot, inh and coolguy immediately come to mind)
