Author Topic: Router/PC is failing to work  (Read 862 times)

Alright so I'm kinda asking for some tech help here

So I'm tryina play Blockland, use the internet or discord, etc and my internet keeps cutting out.  My wifi signal suddenly goes to stuff and I can't do anything.  I've been having to use my phone's hotspot to use internet, and can't figure out why it's breaking or booting me, whatever the case may be.

Any ideas as to what is going on?

(I didn't post this in help because it's not directly related to Blockland, if it belongs there please tell me)

have u ever tried turning off the router (unplugging it) for about 10 seconds and plugging it back in?

I've been having an exact same problems

my internet cuts out about every five seconds.

i couldn't take a pic now but looking at the net graph on the task manager shows it dipping down to literally zero and its pissing me off

have u ever tried turning off the router (unplugging it) for about 10 seconds and plugging it back in?
resetting the router does nothing, plugging an ethernet cable into the router then to my pc doesnt work either

If the problem is just with your desktop then it could be a driver or hardware problem. If it's the router you could mess around with custom firmware but you're probably better off getting a better router.

do you have the same problem with your phone/other devices?

sounds like a problem with the router itself but have you gone into the router settings to make sure you don't have an ip conflict between two devices?

sorry for bumping

my phone sometimes messes up but nobody else in my house experiences nothing, it's just me

i'll check the router settings, didn't check that yet

i'll check if theres new drivers, if there isn't i'm probably going to have to buy a new computer, my laptop has been stuttering a lot recently and i'm starting to think it's on its last leg

What is your router? I remember having issues with a century link router and the only solution to that was getting a much better router that can handle many devices.
