Old lego movies follow the rubber bendy animations like stuffty tell tale games. While the lego movie follows traditional stop motion animation but it's CG.

The bendy rubber bullstuff is mainly why I hate the new lego games. It feels unnatural and lazy.

I figured the reason is that they just want to make an short with just minifigures without the limits. Like making it wacky and whimsical like some cartoon than a brickfilm. I remember watching a lot of brick films in my youth, like the Lego Batman created by Forrestfire101 and the Lego Titanic and Lego Lusitania. I created my own but, they were pretty stuffty and ripoffs. I wanted do brickfilms but I didn't had the correct colors or any good colors.
