played this a week or two ago on a different map-- while there were issues and the gamemode was shut down halfway through my visit, the entirety of the time spent in the server was enjoyable and the gamemode itself was really fun lol



it was meant to be a lightweight re-skin and fun "break" from our main project (never fully released/finished) which had a lot of people following its development. the general reception for this side project could be accurately summed up in this comment on the main file's rtb page

that said, ironically this isn't the first server i've seen this summer that was hosting with these packs. i'm willing to take requests for updates and possibly re-release them in the add-ons section as one big pack, or anyone capable can feel free to do so themselves if they'd like
i love the pack but the iron sight aiming drives me insane because iron sights and blockland don't work together at all so i disabled the package that did that and changed some weapons hitfire functions.

to sum it up, id love an update or even better like what conan said, a rehash. but if you did don't do iron sight aiming

a fancy animation doesn't mean anything. to have iron sights, you basically rely on the bullet hitting the target instantly or close to instantly. aiming is pretty hard with blocklands limited projectiles speed and having a weapon that reduces your fov and basically putting a giant object in front of your vision plus trying to calculate where the bullets are going is really annoying. only other solution would be to make all the weapons raycast, which is absolutely ridiculous for other reasons. blockland combat is great because we can make games that function like modern games but play like a good classic quake shooter.

which are? it's not a bad idea, at least you'll be able to hit your enemies properly

standard ping for most bl servers is 100+,  in CS:GO that would be unplayable ping almost. there's a reason why aiming with raycast or bullet weapons sucks in bl, but the diff is bullets let you figure out exactly  how delayed your shots are and help you figure out how much to lead to make up for the stuff ping

iron sights function in other games cause its the only way you can zoom in to see better/have finer aim control, while in BL you literally cannot restrict anyone from pressing F to zoom in
