i'm not gonna lie and say that the gameplay of most servers can be found at a much better version pretty easily
the part that makes this game likable and overall fun is the ability to strike up a conversation with anybody and expect to have it be interesting

that's not to say that building stuff isn't fun or anything but i wouldn't ever play this game if it was just building garbage next to another person's garbage. that's what more well-known games are for

Blockland is a really good hang out game.

Yeah, it's fun to build and do events and DM and stuff, but just hanging out with people is where it's the most fun imo

basically this, having played this game for years i've engraved this game into me and i cant not like it no matter what it seems, even if i take a break for months, I always come back.
