i mean.. i had those issues explained to me as a child and i'm fine. literally was not that hard to understand. all my mom said was that there's some people who like the same gender and i was fine with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i was around my uncle a lot who was gay and he was an awesome person, nothing was ever weird or out of place.
