Author Topic: Manually installing add-ons  (Read 925 times)

How do you manually install add-ons? Sorry if there is already a million topics like this.

Its the same with maps (almost) Name the add-ons folder you DOWNLOADED to the add-on name. Opon the folders Applications/Blockland/Add-ons then open the add-ons folder you download and you'll see lots of folders
and a .cs file (which is the script) Any way, open one of the folders, eg Shapes, you'll see some files in ther, then open the Shapes located in Add-ons/Blockland/Applications. Drag the shape files from he add-on folder you downloaded into the add-ons folder located in Bockland and do the same with all the others.

(vehicles: Shapes and a .cs, Weapons: CI Itemicons Shapes Sound and a .cs)

That is the right way? I thought that was the wrong way.

What do you do with the .cs file, and why do you rename the folder?

You'd be better off not listening to Roland, his method is needlessly complicated. First  off, I need to know what zip program you are using, the windows default acts like a folder in some ways, while a different program will open up and tell you what's what. You will only be able to unzip RAR files if you use a different zip program like WinZip.

Windows default zip method: Goto your blockland folder (usually C:\Program Files\Blockland) Open the zip file you downloaded, inside the add-on zip, you should find a folder named "add-ons". Drag and drop this folder to your blockland folder, it will then pop up with a dialog (screenshot below), press "Yes to All". This won't delete anything and should ensure a proper installation. Done.

WinZip Method:Open the zip file, press extract, goto your Blockland install folder (usually C:\Program files\Blockland) then press ok, if needed, check your settings with the screenshot below. Finished.

If you are installing a script only (a .cs file for example) just download the file directly to your Add-ons folder.

I use a mac, is it still the same?

If you're using a mac, I have no idea, but for the most part it should be the same. Make sure that the add-ons folder from the file you downloaded goes into the Blockland directory. With a correct install you should end up with a .cs file in the Blockland\Add-ons directory and possibly some other files in folders like shapes\etc..
