The Ultimate Noob.

I seriously must be the ultimate in noobness, because im asking where to begin. honestly, none of you guyshad to ask this did you? anyway, ill stop beating around the bush and get to the point. what i need is a list of programs and what not i need to download to get started scripting, modelling and basically,well making my own add ons for blockland. please dont laugh.

ok, now i have my tools.....but i need someone to tell me how to use them. ill start by just asking: if i wanted to make a shotgun, how would i start?(using notepad and milkshape or shaper)

Scripting can be done with Notepad,and theres modelling programs such as Blender(very hard),Milkshape(quite easy) and Shaper(easy).

You should try waepons for now. I have made three tutorials on help for modding, so I hope they will help.
It will require you to download Milkshape 1.8.2

Video One: Modding.
-There are little buttons that pop up in the video if you need help with others. This tutorial lets you know how to properly export your model, and how to make a very simple script.
Video Two: Modeling Basics.
-This video will require you to pause very often to be able to see all the words. It shows what each tool do in Milkshape 1.8.2.
Video Three: Extra Scripting Help.
-This tutorial will just show you some more features for your weapon's script that you can add. You don't need to watch this video to know how to script.

Warning: You will need extreme patience to do this. If you are done with your add-on, do not release it. Practice on a very good model such as this. If you think your model is good, and the script is decent, ask someone in the community that has made an add-on, or know what they should look like before posting it. You can ask me if you have MSN.
