Author Topic: Level/Rank  (Read 3566 times)

This may Sound Stupit or just a plan Rip off but i don't Care, AOT needs Ranks/level's because Most People who Have the Magicbow or have been playing a Long Time Wait out side of Port Town for Noobs or People who Come there To Play Not Run away From people 24/7 and can do Nothing Else with being Shot at or Killed!

P.S I stop Playing AOT Because I play WoW, Still Its a Very Bad Problem!

Yes that is a proble but I thoguht AoT had a special system that didn't rely on stats but on the player itself. But stats could be easily abused by players if they level off mules and crap characters. That could be solved by making Orcs the only monsters to give exp.

i think they are being added, and there are a few topics about this btw.

I agree that killing orcs should be way to get exp., but killing players should give a little exp (but not enough to make them good for training on).

If there was exp. to gain from people there would be nobody going outside town. It would scare all the noobs and plus if you got stronger by leveling then the begginers would not stand a chance. Nobody would try to do the log challenge or the tree house or dugeons. Because the high leveled people would chase anyone who went outside port town. And if anyone actually made it outside without getting killed, they would most likely go to a spot such as The Tavern to hide. As soon as they exit the buildling BAM! Dead. The game would not be fun anymore(my opinion)

i think a lot of high level people would protect the new players, as they get nothing from killing them, and skill plays a big part of it anyway (so things wouldnt get much worse than now)

Eh. I posted a few reasons why not to have an XP or leveling system.

I guess the bottom line is, this is what makes the game more unique than others. I'd rather see other things coded than a reward system for playing a lot.

If there are any rewards, they should be purely aesthetic or something. No giving any advanatages over someone else.

The way its set up right now, someone new can join and kill anyone they want, without going through training or leveling. Its just get up and go. Do whatever you want from the start.

I know that I probably wouldn't protect anyone. I've had enough with "escort missions". Its either I'm working with someone, or I'm not. No parasitic relationships, at least not until I start getting a large possitive flow of capital, most likely from the source I am protecting.

Also, new people already have an advantage over everyone for four hours. Thats way more than enough time to increase your playing skill to about the same as everyone else, and learn everything there is to know about the game.
