Author Topic: Port Forwarding Question  (Read 1112 times)

I just recently read a tutorial on blockland port forwarding, and I'm pretty sure I did everything correct, yet my servers still show up as a 'DEAD' server. Here's a sc of my router port forward thing-

Ugh, I didn't know so much people just skipped their eyes over port forwarding questions. I feel that this is important so I'm going to bump it.

Two things. One: You have to set the private IP to YOUR computers IP (assuming thats what that part does on your router). Two you dont have to forward every port seperatly like that, just forward once with the range of ports from 28000-28030.

I'll try it and reply soon. Thanks

You mean make a private port 28000 and public port 28032?

Also make sure several security things are off.

All ports from 28000 to 28032 need to forwarded to your computer. This means that those ports will allow access to other computers over the internet through those ports. You need to allow both UDP and TCP connections.

The ports need to be ported to your computer. To find out what the true name of your computer is (as identified by itself) go to Control Panel>System.

It should say  Full computer name: <name of computer here>

My router goes by name, if it asks you to specify, use the name found like I said above, if not, specify which computer to forward the ports to by entering in your unique IP address.
