My personal views are poorly emulated by any existing party.
Most wars are a mistake, but I don't think people deserve a hand out just for existing. Big business should be subject to more government oversight, but I don't think taxing them is the solution to any existing solution. Churchs earn a profit, they pay employees, they are businesses...they should pay taxes..."separation of church and state" can go forget itself...there are plenty of other companies that pay taxes and still contribute vastly greater portions of their profits to benefit communities.
The list goes on. I favor political stances based on reason, logic and a desire to help a greater number of people over the few. But I don't want decisions guided by some religious concept of right and wrong.
America is a nation built on compromises, but I can't help but feel underwhelmed by the existing parties. Perhaps, just for a few years, I'd like to have my cake and eat it. Not a decayed 2000 year old cake, not a cake which gets distributed to millions of worthless, non-contributing sods...just a well balanced cake.
