Author Topic: DTS importer for Milkshape?  (Read 4729 times)

How could I import a DTS file to milkshape, if it's even possible?

You could use Shaper if it's only for short term, since it's only a 30 trial if you don't buy it (but if you update it the trial resets)

But I wouldn't recommend doing anything else besides importing and exporting with it.

I made a small tut back in the old rtb 1.x days for using Shaper, the exporting bit might help you.

I must warn you, if you find a way to export it into a file MS3D can import, the model may come out small, which is why i had trouble trying to make a reference model of the Blokofigure player model, i had to keep resizing it over and over again until it looks about right, even now, i'm still not sure it's right >.>

I wrote that somewhere in the tut I think, but it only really happened to me while putting it into 3dsmax I recall.
Ah here it is:

Okay, so how would i do that?

Do i set the values to 10.0 and hit Scale?

I sense a typo in step 1

I opened Shaper and imported the monkey dts. and exported it to Milkshape 3d ASCI

Edit: There are plenty of typos actually :o

Yup, that's what I get when typing stuff out in notepad around 3 in the morning.
It wasn't anything big anyhow, like it wasn't made for all of your eyes to see, but still it's got the basics there.

At your last question I'd say so, just up size your model by 10 each way.
