messed up controls

My controls seem to mess up alot as so:
Sometimes I will be swinging around on my hook and i will want to get off. So i press C and either it saysThis is a no spell zone or i become invisible and i am still hooked.  so i sit there and look like a noob hooked to the ground cant get out and just became invisible so no one will notice me.  And i tried to go into options and remap the control and it still doesnt work.  So badspot if you see this and can fix this PLEASE fix it

It happens when you screw up the v-menu, which is sometimes caused by opening and closing the v-menu too quickly. It should fix when you quit the game...

My way to fix this was to remap the crouch button (which is C) to the Q button, allows me to access the magic menu via the C button and unhook via the Q. I find the Q easier to unhook with because it is right with the movement controls.
