Reason: "Don't ask that, it's rude and will get you banned from most servers."

But I guess banning will be fun too.

Happens to me all the time. Usually they don't even say they're leaving.

Regulith: No.

Blockhead has left the game.

(Lack of spawning.)
Blockhead: hi
Fire Friendly: hey.
Blockhead: can i have admin?
Fire Friendly: what?
Blockhead: can i have admin?!?! PLES!!!
Fire Friendly has permanently banned Blockhead. "No."

I only ban when they start acting in a derogatory manner and keep pestering me when I am building.

Unfortunately that happens 9/10 times, so I ban them for a day with the reason: "Bye!"

Barnabas was feeling nice one day and let a guy load something, it ended up crashing his server. Never again we vowed. : /
