Now, because I don't want to use the styles XP offers, I need a new style program.
Looking for something free, and not something that will try and take over my computer.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, Windows Blinds is definitely worth the buy, if you are into fully theming your computer. As for a freeware program, I have searched and searched but have had no prevail :/

Yeah, I don't want to cash out for Window Blinds. Not only is it pricey, but it really does try to suffocate you.

UxTheme.dll patch, it does the same thing as StyleXP. You just have to drop the style files in some folder in c:\windows and they show up on the themes list.

I've done that, but I'm not sure I've used a good tutorial for it. Notably these parts:
"First of all delete uxtheme.dll file from C:\Windows\system32\dllcache and C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386" - I could not find a \dllcache in System32.
"You should then see a second Windows File Protection pop-up window asking you to insert your SP2 CD. Click on Cancel." - It asked for my SP3 CD
"Congratulatiuon you are now ready to use third-party visual styles." - Great.

I got it to work now, and it's pretty good.
The only problem was that I got Service Pack 3 and StyleXP wasn't compatible.
