Author Topic: BIOS Help needed  (Read 1170 times)

Okay, so I've had a problem with my display most of the time not appearing until I get to the log on screen, and reading the manual it turns out I need to disable my integrated graphics.

So right now my desktop (finally) got to BIOS and I'm at the option Init Display First, and it has two choices.

  • [PEG] Set primary display to PCI Express Graphics
  • [PCI] Set Primary display to PCI Graphics

My graphics card is in the PCI Express slot and I set it to [PEG] and it still sometimes won't appear. It was set to [PCI] before and setting it to [PEG] made the boot screen appear more often.

No idea.I would just settle with sometimes more then never.

Also, you getting your output via the card or the mobo? It might be confused between the two.

Display through the card.

There's no port for display on the mobo.

then how did you get integrated?

This is why you don't get a motherboard with an integrated chip. Nothing but trouble.

My old mobo had an integrated.
stuff it doesn't

The only time an integrated GPU might make sense is if you use Nvidia's Hybrid-SLI.
