I don't have much experience with dual cores, but you could got to the manufacturer's website and update your drivers and download any software they might have.

Holy stuff, drivers for processors?

EDIT: All they have for Core 2 Duos is a Processor Identification Utility.
Looking at it, it says that the tested system bus appears to be operating above its frequency specification, a condition commonly known as overclocked...
wut?

Speed
Expected: 2.66 GHz
Reported Core 1 and 2: 2.26 GHz

System Bus
Expected: 1066 MHz
Reported Core 1 and 2: 1133 MHz

L2 Cache Memory is 3 MB for both cores, and that's normal.
Going to go in BIOS to lower system bus.

Edited CPU Clock Ratio so that its at maximum and both cores are at 2.66 GHz instead of 2.26 GHz.

Okay, looking at the Processor Identification utility, everything is now normal, like fully normal.
Both cores are now at 1066 MHz and 2.66 GHz with 3 MB L2 cache memory. Going to see if installation for things is faster. Also inserted motherboard CD and downloaded drivers off that.

So far, all this stuff, it's still slow for installation of things.
It's noticeably faster, and I'll get to you on how long it takes to install.
Well, took about 2 and a half hours for Universe at War to install.

Still, considered slow.
