How do i run a dedicated server?

Ok, i hit the dedicated file in the blockland folder but it just stops at Posting to master server. Can someone tell me why it just stops there?

That's all it does.

If your ports are forwarded and everything is working properly, people will be able to join it.

go into blockland hit the lan button 2 see if it worked

Ok, it is up, but it is dead, my ports are forwarded and i can host normal internet games but the dedi dies.

In game, are you querying LAN or Internet to look for your server?
It will show up dead in Internet for you, because you are the hoster, so click on Query LAN and join it from there.

Save your game by joining it, using Query LAN, just save as you usually would, then exit dedicated.bat

Is dedicated.command the same as dedicated.bat? I'm on a Mac so maybe that's why.
