What the hell are you talking about, Marcem?

I have muscle memory of the keys' relative positions to each other, so I can type that fast without looking at the keyboard/screen to confirm what I've hit.

What the hell are you talking about, Marcem?

Si yioy cab ckise niyr etes abd wauk ibn tge jetys>?

That's supposed to say "so you can just close your eyes and wail on the keys?", which I typed with my eyes closed. It might be a weird keyboard or desk, but I used to be able to type really well with my eyes closed or not looking at the keyboard, but now not so much.

Edit: Oh, and I have fat fingers.

I have muscle memory of the keys' relative positions to each other, so I can type that fast without looking at the keyboard/screen to confirm what I've hit. Someone could even mix up the keys and I'd still be fine. (VERY helpful for typing up papers and such that I've already drafted on paper.)
Blind?
EDIT: Oh, now I know what you mean, just the letter part, nothing with what they do.  Same with the home row junk.

so you can just close your eyes and wail on the keys?

Yes.

Blind?

I'll put this in the easiest way I can think to explain it to you:

1) Take the "X" key off the keyboard
2) Take the "C" key off the keyboard
3) Put the "X" key where the "C" key was
4) Put the "C" key where the "X" key was

Now, that won't affect me, because I know where the X and C keys are without looking. So if someone mixed them up I wouldn't notice unless I looked at the keyboard.

Now look at my edit.

Oh, I see what you were interpreting my post as now.
So like, if I switch to a Dvorak keyboard (I tried once), I'm screwed.
But not if someone just mixes up the keys on an English keyboard.

There was actually a period where I took all of my keys off the keyboard to clean the keyboard out and put them back on wrong for some reason and for two months or something I had a mixed up keyboard.

The worst thing about it was that each key had a different slant because the keyboard was slightly curved so it was kind of weird on my fingers, but not too bad.
