How do you make add ons?

So I just wanted to make this poll to see what you guys use when you make add ons. See I have google SketchUp and I am pretty good at making models on it but I have no idea how to animate them to work in Blockland. Yea, I know about the search bar and you tube but I have not been able to figure out how to make them work in blockland. If any of you guys know how to make add ons for using google sketchUp I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me.

You have to model it with something without sketchup. If you try to make a model with sketchup i don't think you can animate it and you would have to change it to a different file which is hard, boring, and takes alot of time. Model with Blender for good models. You have to script, also.
