Author Topic: Hosting on Seperate Computers  (Read 869 times)

I have a quick question about hosting a game. No, it's not portforwarding. My question is this:

After I Portforwarded on my Source Computer*, I got a new computer. But I found that couldn't host. How do I make it so I can host on seperate computers that run on the same connection?

*Source Computer: The computer that has the router connected to it

you need to make your new computer have a static ip then forward the router for the new ip with the old one left. At least thats what I did and it worked

Ok, thanks.

Do the exact same thing you did for the other computer, but also do the following:
[Obvious] Change the IP, two identical network IPs cannot connect to 1 router.
In Blockland, click Start a Game, and right at the top in Advanced Config, you'll see port.
Change this to something like 28100.
When you port forward for that computer, use the port range 28100 - 28132

Um I have a problem with hosting to, and I feel I might as well ask here.

I port forwarded at my moms and it worked. Then I did it at my dads then it worked to. I went back to my moms house, and it seemed I had to re-port forward.

Not sure what's up with that, if it's two different networks, they shouldn't affect eachothers' routers at all.

You have a dynamic IP. See if there's a way to assign a static IP to the computer.
