I had used MLD's flatshading tutorial, but all of my cylinders in the model turn out black, you can't get color in them. Also, some of the faces aren't flatshaded, they're smoothshaded. Any idea what's wrong?

I fixed the cylinders, but now they're smoothshaded.

Assuming its MS3D, When that happens to me, I go to file>preferences>restore default. That should fix the black problem. For the flatshading part, I wouldn't use the preset shapes because it doesn't flatshade that good. Take a plane off a box and try to from a cylinder with it.
