I was experimenting with GIMP and got a kind of frosted glass effect. Tell me what you think.

Well, it's not in GIMP. Or at least I didn't use a single filter.

so you put a layer on top of it with a texture and lowered the opacity, big deal.

It looks more like a close up of a painting than frosted glass to me.

Lowered the saturation on the entire picture, spread noise, gaussian blur, bump map. That was all done within one layer.

That's the most amazing thing I've ever heard, tell me more of your artistic mastery. I can only dream of achieving such levels of skill with filters and other peoples photographs! I mean, on one layer? Good lord! How does he do it?
