It could be your hard drive, dumbass.

It could be your hard drive, dumbass.
well, sorry, I didn't know

yea, because i'm gonna take that out of a broken computer and put it in my functioning one

If you're not even going to take it out because it's in the broken computer, why bother and ask about the other parts?

Hard drive is a good thing to transfer to new computer, plug it in and format it, then there you go, more space!

Also video card if you don't have a better one.

Well obviously the video card isn't broken because it would just use the integrated one on motherboard, so that's a good decision.

I don't see why you're asking us these questions, isn't it obvious that you can do it?

Try booting off your windows cd
I lost it over three years ago, I tried ubuntu

did it work?
no, did the same thing, ity was like there wasn't even a disk in it,, plus it doesnt load the keyboard mouse either

I don't believe a computer can get "broken", its always 1 part in it that's busted and causing the whole thing not to run correctly. and there's ways to find out what any 1 piece it was to repair or replace.

if you assume the whole thing is just busted as a whole, then putting random parts of it into your new one dont make sense. you would just be grabbing the stuff part

I think it's the motherboard or hard drive, it happened when one of the usb drives short circuited

can you remove the drive and try again?
does the power even come on?
where does it end when you watch the screen during startup?
what, how, and how many beeps does the comp make at startup? different beeps mean different problems

Can you access the BIOS?
