I started playing Blockland from V8-V10 and then I stopped playing for a while. Then I started again and I heard people talking about IRC. I don't mean to sound noobish, but what is IRC?

It's the same thing fool and you don't have to have RTB to access the IRC.

I think that just maybe he'd want to use the IRC in-game, and not use some stuffty website to talk to random people.

He might want it for other things, i use mine for blockland, and there is a Blender Channel on the Freenode server i also have open all the time. You never know what you would use it for.

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat and it was one of the first and most successful internet text messaging systems.

I'm thinking in RTB3 I'll be hiding any references to IRC and just calling it "Chat" since people really have no idea what "IRC Client" on the menu is until they click on it.
