Making DIY Special Effect

I'm planning on making a DIY effect.
I'm trying to be really cheap about this, so if you have any home-made recipe, or maybe even links for the following items, please post them.

-Foam Head. (I've heard of a cheap 4 dollar one. I will search this)
-Foam Cutter. (I figure a hot wire will work)
-Plaster.
-Fake Blood.
-White Spray Paint.
-Simple Makeup Kit.
-Bloody Paint.
-A Balloon. (I can probably handle this)
-Ballistics Gel. (I found a recipe here)

As you may already know, I'm making a smash-able head.

Use cherry flavored jelly for the blood. That way you can lick it up when you are done for even more added creepyness! :D

Aha maybe. That may help with a splatter effect. I'll have to water it down a bit though.

For foam head use styrofome.
For Plaster buy some at a local drug store for around $5
For fake blood usually is corn syrup
Buy a $1 dollar spray paint can
Steal some of your moms makeup.

Ketchup is good for fake blood also.
Just make sure it isn't too thick ketchup.

Meh, ketchup is unrealistic. It isn't runny enough, and it's too light.
