Map Making

I have 2 questions I've been wanting to ask. (1.)How do I make maps like Bedroom or Kitchen? How do I load up objects / scenery for my own custom maps, not "Terrain Editor"? (2.) How do I make my own models for weapons and stuff, then how do I make the gun do whatever I want it to do?

bedroom and kitchen are technically "models" made in a modeler app. im not a map maker nor a modeler so i cant really be any more help. do a search on model programs in this forum, im sure there is tons of info in mod discussion section.
