Windows tells me it's unresponsive, but it sucessfully recovered. However it crashes BL, gmod, TF2, Sketchup, and milkshape. Blender seems unaffected :D
9800GTX+, newest drivers, updated like yesterday.

It tends to only happen in BL and WoW, however it crashes the above applications if their open.

Me too Dig, everything's crashing, all because of the nVidia drivers. I use the latest too. BL hangs alot, TF2 crashes, etc.
Maybe its the latest that were broke?

i had similar problems like this when i put in a new video card.
for some reason some games ran fine, and other games the video drivers had crashed on me.
usually the first assumption to this is video card is overheating. needs more/better fans, or the fan speed needs to be turned up on the card itself.
but in my case surprisingly, it turned out my ram was just shot and needed replacement.

Luckily I haven't updated my 9800 drivers recently :a

Turn down your video card graphics settings :p That's what I had to do with my ATI.

That probably won't fix anything.
I say try older drivers, or newer beta drivers.
If you already have beta drivers, download the latest stable ones.
