A 50 foot ethernet cord is not the best cord to go 10 feet.

It's just a jumble of wires under my feet.

My friend has the same problem, his ping gets increased by about 60-100... he really needs to get a shorter one.

Well ahem, you are increasing your network latency with that unnecessary length. And oh my, don't forget about the electron shielding! How dreadful!

I run through a 100ft cable through my floor down to the basement.

With my 50ft wire, I get 10-15 ping(computer to my computer)

With my 50ft wire, someone said they got 320 ping...

Use wireless.
No long wires. :D

I could use cable which is lying just under this desk, but I am not, since wireless is fast.
