Not many people hear have probably played this game but it is rather worth it. Anyway, it is rather old now but it is being re-released on the DS some time this year. It's going to be the first new DS game I have bothered to buy in a while (I rarely use my DS actually) even though I already own it on the computer so that shows how good I consider it. I just wanted to start a topic about this so that others could experience it's glory once it come out.

For all of you who don't know what Defcon is you can go google it. Include the words introversion and mass genocidal thermonuclear war game to help narrow the search.

Wrong. Highest is DEFCON 1, in certain cases can but doesn't have to be nuclear warfare.
It's never been raised to DEFCON 1 ever, the highest being DEFCON 2 during the Cuban Missile CrCIA and other events.

But I digress, off about the actual politics now onto the game.
I love the game and seeing this topic makes me want to pull it out again.

DEFCON 5: Complete peace, no threats or conflicts.
DEFCON 4: This refers to normal, increased intelligence and the heightening of national security measures.
DEFCON 3: This refers to an increase to force readiness above normal.
DEFCON 2: This refers to a further increase in force readiness just below maximum readiness.
DEFCON 1: Total war. This refers to maximum readiness. It is not certain whether this has ever been used, but it is reserved for imminent or ongoing attack on US military forces or US territory by a foreign military power.
