Yes you are right. The full console code would be this I think: (might be a little off.)
Findclientbyname(Gamefandan).player.mountimage("hammerimage",0);
That would, if I typed it correctly mind you, mount a hammer to the selected client's (Me in this case.) default slot. This slot is chosen by that 0 there, this 0 makes it so when the hammer mounts to you it mounts to the player's weapon slot, which is just the same slot you use for: Using weapons, holding items, and controling objects.
