Author Topic: Blender DTS Exporter vista  (Read 779 times)

Hello, I was wondering how to get the DTS exporters working with Vista. I am using blender 2.49 and would like to know which version of Python to use and how to install it since I have no scripts folder.

since I have no scripts folder.
Just unzip the zip file in a random map, then open the .js-file, and it will install!

I did and it still doesn't work. I get a python script error.

You need to use 2.5.2 I think. I haven't used blender in a while so I'm gonna go download 2.49 without python and see what it says on the console. Although, if you have the wrong version of python you should be able to look on the console (that black box that blender opens up when you open it) to see what version of python you need.

Also, if you don't have a scripts folder where you installed blender then it will be in your "application data" folder. To get there ON XP, you go to C:\Documents and Settings\YourAccount, and Application Data should be a hidden folder in there. Of course, you're using vista so the process of finding application data is likely to be different, but when you do find it, simply go into application data inside of your account folder and go into the blender folder in there and you should be able to find scripts.

I cannot seem to find 2.5.2 without it bumping me up to 2.5.4 which isn't compatible with my computer.
