Author Topic: Running two operating systems on the same computer?  (Read 1360 times)

Ok I have Windows Vista, I wanna run XP for certain things. Now ive found out how I do it but I have Vista already installed, It says I need to install the other one first. But I dont have an install disk for vista, it came on the computer. How could I do this?

Partition your hard drive, and put XP on the new partition.

Not sure how to do this "Partition" And it said I had to install the lower OS then install the higher one.

Boot up your computer, press whatever key opens your BIOS (usually one of the function keys or delete), and look around the options in there for hard drive configuration settings.

Also, can I ask what you want to run with XP?

And you're sure this won't run on Vista?

Dude, if you don't know how to do it, then don't do it at all. You WILL screw you PC up.

It's stupid using those portable emulators.

You should definitely backup all of your files before you do anything. When you partition, you might wipe your entire hard drive by accident.

Eh got what I needed, locking.
