Port forwarding question

Im trying to port forward but Im wondering if i turn on Internet sharing on my computer what would that do in trying to port forward and is that remotely related to it.

Internet sharing Is not even close to being related to it. So just ignore it and continue through the process of port forwarding. I believe internet sharing is were you share things with other people on the same network, Like a printer.
