This is exactly the problem though - people won't look at the options, they'll just complain that the game is taking 2 hours to load. 

Spamming the user with even more questions is not an option. 

Oh yea. I forgot about everything it asks you. Most people have enough trouble answering them. THey don't need to be bothered by a question such as "Load weapon/vehicle shapes?" when they don't even really understand what it is asking.

yeah that's a perfectly valid point, also: I've already noticed more new users on my server now that the downloads are off by default.

yeah that's a perfectly valid point, also: I've already noticed more new users on my server now that the downloads are off by default.

I only have the stunt plane, sniper, and shotgun on my server as the downloadable content. (unless I am doing stuff with my laser weapons). People complain about the lack of random stuff but it keeps things much simpler in my opinion ( as in my opinion these three add-ons should be made default to the game :P ).
