Hosting Help!!

So, i know how to port forward and everything, but i got a new router and i just started up blockland. So i went and port forwarded it through my router, and then i hosted my Challenge, and then after a minute or so one person joined. But the whole time my labtop on the demo version, said it was dead, it could see other online servers, but it showed that mine was dead. Anyway, that one guy joined and i reset the server cuz i wanted to change the emitter limit. and then when i rehosted it, no one joined for 30 minutes and my labtop still says its dead? any help?

it is dead when the host leaves usually or everything lags out

but if dedi server it is not because of host leaving

It could be because of a weak connection. When me and my brother would try to do LAN, others would be able to join my server, but it would appear dead to him. After about 10 minutes of the server being up, he was finally able to join. He was on a wireless computer that was far away from the router, so it had a weak connection.
