Also Vista's "score" thing isn't really an accurate way to judge if you can play something or not.

Can you tell us your CPU's clock speed? Right click Computer and click Properties, and it'll say somewhere in there like #.##GHz

All it does is compare your specs to a the minimum requirements of a certain game.

And I'm sure a 4850 is enough to handle Sims 3. It can handle Crysis.

EDIT: Figured it out..
..
..turns out I actually hadn't completely installed my video card; DL'ed it, playing Sims 3 as we speak.
High settings on everything and still faster than it was!
Just goes to show how important downloads really are.
