I suggest you get a Yamaha Keyboard. I have one of those (I also bought a cheap baby grand piano cause I've been playin' for a while) but make sure that the electric one has all the keys, don't get some octaves cut off. If you have one with an entire range, you can play more dynamic songs. You should get a good sustain pedal because the one I got for my ol' Keyboard was a crappy $5. If you play guitar too, they have tuner/sustain pedal things, that might also be (for loss of a better word) those foot pedal things that you step on to make your electric guitar sound different. The one I found like that was around ~$80 but I didn't want to waste the money on it, as I didn't play guitar back then. What's your price range? Check out Radio Shack, and music stores around you. You can find them at electronic stores too.
