Author Topic: Milkshape 3D or Blender?  (Read 730 times)

Which is better? Blender has the ability to make custom collision meshes (which appeals to me) and reference meshes that won't get exported unless they are parented to detail 32 (great for working out scale), but Milkshape 3D seems easier to use and provides a better working environment, and also seems to support more formats.

(If there's some other über awesome 3D modeling program, suggest it!)

Which should I choose, and which do you use?
(Take into account that I can easily adapt to any modeling program you throw at me.)

Blender is more advanced and thus can do more advanced things than milkshape, you seem a pretty experienced modeller to me so unless you want to go and spend $onemillion on some insane program, I'd suggest Blender.

Thanks! I'll play around with it tomorrow, now I need sleep.

Hey, I've been using blender for about 3 years now, if you'd like I could give you a helping hand. If you have windows live messenger, add me. My e-mail address is sleepysleepyidiot@hotmail.com (I made it a long time ago)

He's just modeling for blockland, not the Source engine. As far as the Torque engine is concerned, both programs are essentially the same.

I agree with this though, the price is right when it's free.
