Could someone post a link to a good mapping tutorial?

I'm not trying to be an idiot or anything, I just want to find out what I can do on blockland,  because so far I feel like a person left out of the community.  Since I have no skills so far, I want to try mapping.  I just need a good tutorial and I'm good.
