Author Topic: Is map2dif the olny usable map editor? If so, where is the "best" place to get?  (Read 1476 times)

Are there other good programs?
Is there a tutoiral on it? If no, is it a easy program to learn?
Does it cost money?
Can I edit pre-existing maps with it?

Thank you.

Edit: Yes I did search stuff and read stickys. (there was olny one)

I thought the name gave away what it did.

I've been proven wrong.

map2dif isn't even a map editor it's a compiler.  You need to use something like constructor, Quark, or Hammer to create the actual map file.

If you go with QuArK the info base is a good place to start.

http://quark.sourceforge.net/infobase/

If you want to use Constructor these tutorials are good.

These are the tutorials I posted earlier:

I found the tutorials here:

It's very likely you'll find lots of more useful information there, so be sure to browse it.
