These avatars are easy to steal. Just blu-select right click hit save picture as, then name it, open it up in a paint (don't use windows paint it is horrible).Then resize and voila! An avatar.

If you aren't using an animated image, the forum will resize it by itself.
Also, there isn't anything wrong with MS Paint, especially if you're just resizing.
