Or walking into the Fine China Store and breaking all the jars hoping to find jewels.

Hey guys, I'm going to punch people in the nose and wear nightvision goggles. I'm going to punch people ten times while wearing a green bandana.

I don't get that reference. Spinter Cell or something?

I failed miserably.

It was Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid.

It was Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid.

I knew there was some reference to MGS in there.

I actually used that line from the GTA talk radio when the girl was complaining about her guy's problem with detracting from his beloved game on an ex of mine. "Two damage! Two damage! Check that ass in the air troll, I'm about to pull aggro" Needless to say, she wasn't impressed, nor did she understand what I was referring to, but I told her it was just too tempting to try just to see her reaction. Still brings a tear of joy to my eye to this day.

Parents that complain about violence in games are idiots.

They just blame the games cause they can't think of anything else

True.

Video games don't make kids violent, it just gives them ideas.

The Penn and Teller thing in the last topic about summed it all up.  Too bad those were removed from youtube.  But basicly, violent games are just somewhere to place the blame for things that were already a problem before video games.  No one complains about the occasional football related deaths in schools but when someone shoots up a school, people see the XBox in his room and immediately blame it.  But a game console is a household item so shouldn't every kid be violent now?  I think that it comes down to parenting.

Yes my mom is insane about violence in any videogames. I was in a dm in Blockland once and there was shooting and she started asking me physiological questions like if I would like to kill people when I was older. Wtf? Really if a kid is going to kill someone video games only help them think of flashier ways to do it. They would a done it anyway at some point the videogames just gave them an idea of how to do it.

Because kids learn that guns can kill from video games.

Because kids learn that guns can kill from video games.

No, they learn that guns can kill in pre school practically.

It all comes down to lazy parenting, really. If parents actually took time to explain things to their kids, let alone try to be a nurturing factor in their growth and development, they turn out less likely to do stupid things.
