Author Topic: The Beauty of Science  (Read 1639 times)

Science is not cultish in any way. It is the pursuit of knowledge, not the pursuit of evidence against theism.

The cultish part was a joke. It was saying that science is based on "Time" and "Cause and Effect" and if we were able to view reality all at once, there would be no science.

What IS real?

Are you sure this reality is true? Tell me how you know that this is not the matrix or something like that.

Matrix!

We could really be high tech robots(capacity to feel emotion), in some far off universe in a simulation game called LOLEARTH3.0

WE MAY NEVER KNOW.

Infact, how do I know you are real? This could all be just a dream, how do I know you are feeling the same consciousness as me?

If you say something like "because I think and feel emotions too", well I could just be thinking that up in this dream of mine.

Oh the wonders of the mind!

THIS is the reason we invented video games.

What

I meant that we invented video games to distract us from getting possible brain hurts. ;D

'I think, therefore I am'.

It is unimportant if this is some kind of 'computer simulation' or whatever, in the bigger picture it makes no difference. We know only what we are, where we are and to some extent how we are, through science. Maybe we are some kind of computer simulation, but in the end it that means nothing.

The only person you know exists is yourself. But, based on what we see about the universe around us, we can draw the most likely and logical conclusions.
